President’s Challenge: June 2012
Theme: 2x4 Challenge. Turn any item out of an 8' construction grade 2x4. It must be either pine or spruce - whatever you can get as construction grade at a general hardware store like the Home Depot or Home Hardware. You can pierce it, segment it, burn it, dye it, stain it, hollow it, offset it, or whatever you want. But it must be 100% from ONE 8' construction grade 2x4. No additions for lids feet or anything else!

Note on the President's Challenges:
There will be two major yearly challenges presented to guild members throughout the year with the intent of giving guild members plenty of lead time to design and prepare for the challenges. These challenges are called President's Challenges. The December challenge will be announced in June or September and will be due in December.
The June challenge will be announced in December or January and will be due in June.
